Installation Requirements:
1. Before installation, carefully verify that the valve model and specifications match the design.
2. Check the valve's compatibility with the required conditions according to its model and manufacturer's instructions.
3. When hoisting valves, ropes should be tied to the flange connection between the valve body and cover, and not to the handwheel or valve stem to avoid damage.
4. When installing valves on horizontal pipelines, the valve stem should be vertically upward; downward installation is not permitted.
5. Do not force the valves by pulling or dragging during installation to avoid damage due to uneven stress.
6. Rising stem gate valves should not be installed in damp underground locations to prevent valve stem corrosion.
Valve Maintenance
1. Valves should be stored in a dry, well-ventilated indoor environment, with both ends of the passage blocked.
2. Valves stored for extended periods should be inspected regularly, cleaned of dirt, and coated with anti-rust oil on machined surfaces.
3. After installation, valves should be inspected regularly, focusing on the following:
(1) Wear on the sealing surfaces.
(2) Wear on the trapezoidal threads of the valve stem and valve stem nut.
(3) Whether the packing is outdated or ineffective; if damaged, it should be replaced promptly.
(4) After valve repair and assembly, a sealing performance test should be performed.
