Working Principle

1. Drive Mechanism

The potential energy of the counterweight provides the power to close the valve. After the oil pump starts, pressurized oil drives the piston in the oil cylinder. The piston and lever work together to lift the counterweight, completing the valve opening.

2. Valve Opening Control

Centrifugal pump operation: Delayed valve opening after pump start.

Axial flow pump operation: Pump and valve start synchronously, or the valve opens partially first.

Hydraulic turbine operation: Bypass valve pre-depressurization, main valve opens, turbine starts.

3. Pressure Holding System

Automatic pressure holding upon valve opening; accumulator pressure range: 20-32MPa. Automatic oil pump pressure replenishment when pressure is reduced to the low-pressure threshold.

4. Valve Closing Control

The potential energy of the counterweight drives staged valve closing:

Fast closing stage: Cuts off 70% of the water flow.

Slow closing stage: Remaining 30% slowly closes. Two-stage buffering eliminates water hammer.

5. Emergency Operation

Manual pump operation enables no-power start of the hydraulic control check butterfly valve. Opening the shut-off valve forces the counterweight to close the hydraulic control check butterfly valve.

Purpose

The hydraulic control check butterfly valve is designed for installation at the pump outlet in water-medium pipelines, functioning as both a shut-off valve and a check valve. Its closing time and speed are adjustable to eliminate or reduce water hammer effects and prevent backflow of the working medium.

3. The counterweight is equipped with a locking device. When the hydraulic control check butterfly valve reaches the specified position, the counterweight arm should be locked by a locking pin to prevent the counterweight from falling back and closing the valve.

4. The hydraulic actuator is equipped with an accumulator to store pressurized oil for pressure compensation in the event of leakage.
